When the weather takes a turn for the worst in Boston and frigid winter temperatures accompanied with snow grip the Boston and Massachusetts area problems can arise. Malfunctioning heating systems, car trouble, dangerous road conditions and snow load on your roof. Snow load can be explained like this the weight of amount of snow that has accumulated on your roof. How do you know how much is too much, well you don’t know it depends on the structural design and integrity of the building as well as the density of the snow witch changes with the temperature. In Boston, Dorchester, South Boston, East Boston, South End, Roxbury, or the greater Boston area flat roofs are very common. The snow accumulation on a flat roof takes longer to melt off and cuases more strees on the structure. Flat roofs should always be monitored and shoveled.I do know this too much snow on a roof is no good.
